Midphot AV Championships - 26th January 2013

Open to members of MCPF affiliated clubs, this is being held at the Priory Centre, Burton on Trent.

Closing date for entries is 5th Jan 2013. More details:

IAC CEMRIAC Jessops Rosebowl AV Competition

Open to IAC members, this AV competition will be held at Smethwick Photographic Society Club Room, Churchbridge, Oldbury on Saturday, 17th November 2012, from 1.30pm.

PAGB Awards for Photographic Merit in Audio Visual - 20th October 2012

Too late to enter, but you can go along to Braunstone Civic Centre
Kingsway, Braunstone Town, Leicester LE3 2PP, starting at 10.30am and see the sequences which have been submitted for PAGB distinctions and see how the applicants fare.

RPS International Speakers' Tour- 19th September 2012 (evening)

Jean-Paul Petit from Paris and Jacques van de Weert from Belgium will be giving a number of AV talks/presentations in the UK. The event in the Midlands will be held at Derrington Village Hall, nr Stafford, starting at 8:00pm . More details here

Worcestershire Annual AV Day - 19th February 2012

This is an opportunity to bring along your sequences to get comments and friendly criticsm and to see the work of others. After lunch there will be a presentation by Howard Bagshaw ARPS MPAGB entitled 'Exploring AV'. More details here.

Judging Workshop - 4th February 2012

This workshop is aimed to help AV workers judge. Open to all, it should interest potential judges and those who are interested in knowing what judges look for. At the Old Schoolhouse, Oldbury. More details here.

CEMRIAC/Jessops Rosebowl AV competition - 12th November 2011

This year at a new venue, the Old Schoolhouse, Oldbury, this competition is open to IAC members or members if IAC affiliated clubs in the Midlands. Closing date for entries is 29th October 2011. Website www.cemriac.org.uk/avcomp.html

PAGB distinctions in AV - 29th October 2011

PAGB distinctions are being sought by 10 applicants (a full house). However, it is still possible to come along and see the adjudication as an observer. Cost is £7.00 for the day. Contact Peter Brown brownpeterd@tiscali.co.uk

N&E Midlands Memorial Lecture - 15th October 2011

An annual lecture for the North and East Midland photographic club members. This year the lecture is entitled "AV is more than pretty pictures set to music" and will be given by Howard Bagshaw ARPS DPAGB at The Cathedral Centre, Lincoln. Free admission. Contact shirley@thedavis.co.uk
